Meet Chassilyn
Chassilyn Hamilton is a navy baby born in Rota Spain where she lived with her parents before her mother was stationed in San Juan and finally settling in Jacksonville, Florida where she’s remained since. She’s been an avid reader and writer since falling in love with African American romance and fictional novels in middle school. During her freshman year at high school, Chassilyn wrote stories on a chapter basis that were passed around for her fellow classmates to enjoy. Her high school summer breaks were spent at the public library where her love for literature grew. In high school, Chassilyn also met her high school sweet-heart, Byron Hamilton, who she married in 2009. They have two children, Jeremiah and Wysdom. Chassilyn considers herself a romantic realist and loves telling love stories that aren't fairytales because she knows that life doesn't work that way. When she’s not reading or writing, Chassilyn focuses on being an entrepreneur alongside her husband and partner, spending time with her family, crafting, perfecting her makeup craft and traveling.
